Sustainability.

“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”

— Robert Swan, author

At The Bridal Gallery, we believe that we each have a responsibility to do as much as we possibly can to reduce our carbon footprint, to champion local industries and give back where we can.

Underpinning our sustainability position is our decision to source everything as locally as we can, right down to the fizz we pop when you buy a dress with us!

We are proud to be able to say that all our dress designers are British and our dresses are hand made here in the UK. This was such a critical part of our vision - to champion British talent, reduce air miles and keep it local.

Some of our dresses will be available to rent, and we have vintage dresses in our collection too. We love the idea of re-purposing a wedding dress, so a couple of our wedding gowns have also been specifically selected because they could be worn again after your big day.

We can also put you in touch with our seamstresses, who will be able to create a Christening gown from your wedding dress, which is simply the most precious way of recycling your wedding dress.

In the pipeline is a re-sale initiative for those brides who don’t want to keep their gowns after their wedding day and want to give them a second life – we will reveal more about this just as soon as we’ve got more to share.

Our mannequins are all being given a second chance and have been bought second-hand from what can only be described as a refuge for mannequins seeking another chance to stand in someone else’s window.

In terms of giving back, we want to try and do our bit to address the widespread inequalities which sadly exist. A portion of our profits will be given to charity.
